The POWERCONNECT M8024-K delivers 24 ports of 10G connectivity with options for 10GBASE-SR, 10GBASE-LRM and 10GBASE-T media, along with flexible 12 1/10GBASE-X ports of instant scalability. The M8024-K includes support for up to 4×40 GbE uplink ports and supports native Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) in both data center bridging (DCB) priority mapping and lossless Ethernet configurations. The switch also offers dynamic buffer management (DBM) technology which helps ensure that time sensitive traffic is prioritized, allowing applications to run optimally. The POWERCONNECT also supports high performance stacking, allowing multiple switches to be connected and managed as a single device. With stacking, administrators can easily manage large groups of devices from one single console. The M8024-K also features a suite of advanced fault tolerance features such as SmartEdge ring protection protocol and hot pipe redundancy resulting in optimized network traffic with minimal downtime. In terms of power efficiency, the POWERCONNECT M8024-K has been designed with both energy monitoring capabilities and energy efficient Ethernet compliance, meaning you can monitor your equipment utilization in order to conserve energy when necessary. The switch supports up to 128 MAC addresses per system, up to 10K jumbo frames, and dual layer two/three IPv6 routing capabilities.
