The Arista QSFP100GLR4 is an high performance, single-mode optical transceiver module designed to provide superior network performance. It is compliant with IEEE802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4 40km standards, and is compatible with the QSFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). The module utilizes a 4-channel transmitter, with each channel providing 25.78 Gb/s of bandwidth over a single fiber link up to 40 km (25 miles) length. The Arista QSFP100GLR4 supports both low and high power output with a maximum of 1W per channel and a minimum of 500mW per channel, making it ideal for data center applications. The module can maintain links up to the highest power with minimal crosstalk interference at extremely long lengths over multiple fibers at reach distances up to 40 kilometers. It supports an effective transmission distance up to 10 kilometers, depending on specific requirements. In addition, the module features a low insertion loss up to 0.5dB, as well as best-in-class optical return loss measurement of better than -20dB. The transceiver has enhanced digital diagnostic monitoring capabilities that enable customers to quickly identify link status and faults through a serial EEPROM which is accessed via the I2C bus. The Arista QSFP100GLR4 also offers low EMI emissions, operating at low temperatures of -10°C to +85°C and storage temperature range of -40°C to +85°C providing superior reliability without sacrificing performance. The Arista QSFP100GLR4 is ideal for enterprise and data center applications where 100G Ethernet links are needed to quickly move large amounts of data over long distance across multiple fibers. It supports high speeds over a wide temperature range, making it well suited for deployment in damp and challenging environments. This optical transceiver is fully compliant with multi-source agreement standards to ensure proper interoperability with other manufacturers’ products.
