The Brocade BR-AMP-MAXCAP-01 is a powerful data center switch that provides enhanced speed and throughput for the most demanding computing environments. This switch is designed to provide equivalent 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) connectivity with superior performance, scalability, and availability. The BR-AMP-MAXCAP-01 utilizes an advanced and reliable switching fabric to deliver maximum bandwidth and performance. It has 48 RJ45 SFP+ ports which support up to 16 10GbE ports per port group. The BR-AMP-MAXCAP-01 also includes an additional 8 QSFP ports, which support up to 4 ports of 40GbE per port group. It provides a total switching bandwidth of up to 640 Gbps and a packet forwarding rate of 960M packets per second. The BR-AMP-MAXCAP-01 also comes with an array of advanced features, such as rich Quality of Service (QoS), Link Aggregation (LAG), Digital Visual Interface (DVI) redundancy and Rate Limiting which allow users to tailor their network to suit their needs. Advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 features are also available, such as Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) and IGMP Snooping. In addition, the BR-AMP-MAXCAP-01 supports IPv6 routing protocols, including OSPFv3, RIPng and Static Routing for seamless integration in existing multivendor environments. Lastly, the BR-AMP-MAXCAP-01 has been designed for use with the Brocade VCS Fabric technology for faster data center convergence with lower latency.
