On the software side, the Dell POWERCONNECT8132F provides an enhanced feature set, including control over Quality of Service (QoS), Access Control List (ACL) based traffic control, and Virtual LANs (VLANs) for segmenting traffic on the network. It also supports multiple redundancy protocols such as Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation, and RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol). The Dell POWERCONNECT8132F is powered by a 550MHz processor and 512MB of RAM for superior switching performance. The Dell POWERCONNECT8132F can be managed through either a web interface or SSH/Telnet console technologies. It is also supported by SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3 along with TFTP, FTP, SFTP and SCP for local or remote firmware upgrades.
